TAMPA, FLA. – Stonelake Ranch, a 685-acre gated community of estate homes along 900-acre Lake Thonotosassa in eastern Hillsborough County, announces its slate of preferred home builders, considered among the best in Florida.
With hundreds of local, state and national building-industry awards to their credit, these companies were selected to build executive and estate residences in this community where homesites range from two to nearly 19 acres each. The builders include:
• Alvarez Homes – Based in Tampa, Fla., it was founded in 1983 by Bobby Alvarez. Since then the
company has built hundreds of homes in the Tampa Bay area, winning scores of local, state and
national home-building awards,
• Arthur Rutenberg Homes – Arthur Rutenberg was selected national home-builder of the year by
Professional Builder magazine, and was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame by the Florida
Home Builders Association. His designs at Stonelake Ranch are being built by Tampa-based Lyons-
Heritage Corp., a franchise of Arthur Rutenberg Homes.
• Bartlett Custom Homes – Based in Lithia, Fla., it was founded in 1991 by owner Jack Bartlett. This
family run building company has designed and built scores of estate residences throughout west
central Florida and has earned a number of honors and awards from the home-building industry.
• Campagna Homes – Founded nearly 60 years ago, this award-winning home builder is headquartered
in Tarpon Springs, Fla. Owned and operated by Michael and Tim Campagna, it builds a few custom
estate residences each year and is a perennial winner of building-industry awards for design.
• The Fechtel Co. – Founded in 1987, this fourth-generation custom-home builder has received more
than 20 Aurora Awards and a Best in American Living Award from the Southeast Building Conference
and the National Association of Home Builders, respectively.
• John Cannon Homes – Based in Sarasota, Fla., with offices in Tampa, this company was founded
in 1987 by John and Phillipa Cannon, who have more than 30 years experience in the home-building
industry and have earned numerous awards and honors for their residential designs.
Stonelake Ranch is a 685-acre community of just 160 executive and estate homes. Ranging in size from 1.5 to nearly 19 acres. Residences must contain at least 3,500 square feet of living space if built on the water. Homes off the water can provide no less than 3,000 square feet of living space. Residential pricing runs from about $500,000 to more than $5 million including homesite.
To reach Stonelake Ranch, take Interstate 4 and travel east on Interstate 75 to the McIntosh Road exit. Turn left (north) on McIntosh, and drive two miles to Thonotosassa Road. Turn left and go about one mile to the community entrance on the right. From I-75, exit at I-4 and drive east to the McIntosh Road exit.
